On 1 December 1979 is the opening of the racetrack Carole in Tremblay en France. I went with my bike, a Honda CB 125.
The racetrack is supposed to stop the carnage among motorcyclists from the Parisian region who gather at the Bastille and especially in Rungis where they come to play every Friday night on the parking of the international market "Les Halles", on improvised racetrack where the main feature is the total lack of safety (18 killed in Rungis in September 1977).
In 1979, the municipality of Tremblay-lès-Gonesse (now Tremblay-en-France) agreed, at the request of the state, a circuit is established provisionally in the municipality. The racetrack opens under the name "Circuit Carole." Carole is the name of a girl (Carole Le Fol) died in September 1977 at one of the last wild runs of Rungis, she was 18.
