Mustangs wild horse capture campaigns are organized by the US Bureau of Land managment (BLM). These livestock control campaigns obtained under pressure from the lobby of the big landowners are regularly the target of animal rights association. Madeleine Pickens, wife of Texas billionaire Thomas Boone Pickens, leading the fight for the defense of mustangs and created a sanctuary, Mustang Monument to accommodate them.
